I used to be very active in bands. That was a dream of mine, to be sustainable through music (less specifically, through art). I've played in quite a few bands, played at quite a few venues, done some touring, some festivals.
Or maybe I'm getting older and hindsight is infecting what I considered dreams and reality has slowly taken it's course. I love making music, but it's just not been the same since the pandemic.
Moving forward I'm going to be a bit low key with releases. There's other life to explore and I don't feel the same duty of patriotism to let folks know I made a thing.
I did make a thing though. It's a mixtape inspired project that explores the awareness of being at the beginning of a creation and knowing it's on it's own. I'm on my own. Alienation, isolation and searching for comfort in the midst of it and then ultimately realizing it's up to me to terraform my own comfort.
